Mixed media/proprietary technique on canvas
60 x 80 cm
Corallium is inspired by the branching structures of coral reefs and the hidden geometries found throughout nature. Rendered in textured charcoal-grey against a soft ivory background, the form spreads organically across the canvas, balancing complexity with clarity. The custom surface treatment gives the pigment a weathered, stone-like appearance, creating subtle variations that shift with changing light and invite closer inspection.
Despite its botanical and marine associations, the painting remains deliberately abstract, existing somewhere between a natural specimen and an imagined symbol. As part of the Lingua Nova series, Corallium transforms an organic structure into a visual glyph—an emblem of growth, connection, and the intricate patterns that underpin living systems.
