saxa 30/40

Acrylic on canvas in a wooden frame

30 x 40 cm

Saxa takes its name from the Latin word for stone or rock, distilling the quiet permanence of natural forms into a single symbol. A warm terracotta shape rests against a deep charcoal background, its irregular outline suggesting a weathered pebble, a seed, or an ancient mark worn smooth by time. The small opening near its edge introduces a sense of mystery, transforming a simple form into something both familiar and symbolic. As part of the Lingua Nova series, Saxa speaks of endurance, grounding, and the beauty found in elemental simplicity.

Each work is a symbol from the imagined world of Lingua Nova. Display one as a quiet statement piece, or combine several to create a unique constellation of forms and meanings.
