concha 30/40

Mixed media/proprietary technique on canvas in a floating wooden frame

30 x 40 cm

Concha references the protective elegance of a shell, translated into a distilled, symbolic form. Its flowing contours and central opening suggest shelter, transformation, and the subtle intelligence of natural design. Familiar yet impossible to fully identify, the shape exists between object and symbol, inviting personal interpretation. Within Lingua Nova, Conchabecomes a sign of inwardness, growth, and quiet protection.

A minimalist series built around simplified symbols and organic forms. Created using a proprietary technique, the black surfaces develop an irregular texture reminiscent of elephant skin, weathered stone, or aged material, with pigment settling unevenly across the canvas. The rich blacks contrast with soft cream forms and backgrounds, creating a striking visual dialogue between light and shadow. Unified by texture, palette, and form, the series reads as a collection of symbols from an unknown visual language.
